The perfect work from home space

-

COMER HOMES Group UK has seen a rise in homeowners taking advantage of government schemes, we have also noticed their priorities have shifted when looking for their new home,” says Caroline Comer, sales and marketing director. Home-hunters are now looking for the perfect ‘work from home’ space — which they are finding at Royal Connaught Park, Bushey. They can mix work, home and social life without having to leave the security of the development.

Royal Connaught Park is a Grade II listed development, formerly the Royal Masonic school for boys. It stands in 100 acres of mature private parkland, with landscaped gardens, 24-hour security with CCTV, residents-only gym with indoor heated swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool bath and steam room and tennis courts.

Each apartment has at least one private balcony or terrace. The Nova Collection apartments come with two allocated parking spaces included in the purchase price (underground parking with lift access directly to the floor of your apartment).

The apartments have luxury kitchens and bathrooms and underfloor heating.

There are facilities for car charging points, ample guest parking, plus a courtesy shuttle bus to Bushey and Watford train stations and local shops.

The converted school building itself is a screen star — it has appeared in nearly 400 films and TV shows including Monty Python’s Life of Brian,Saint Trinian’s and the Harry Potter films (in the role of Hogwarts, naturally).

The final two phases of the new build have just been launched — Admiral House and Lancaster House.

Starting prices on the development are £450,000 for a one-bedroom apartment; £589,000 for twobedrooms; three-bedrooms from £899,000 and four-bedrooms from £1 million.

“Community is another big shift we have seen amongst our developments during the pandemic and what draws many of our residents to our luxury sites,” says Comer. Communities sprang into action during the pandemic, with neighbours looking out for the vulnerable.

This community spirit has been a strength among the Comer Homes developments, including Princess Park Manor in North London, Royal Winchester House in Bracknell, Ocean Views in Weymouth and Royal Connaught Park, where the ample outdoor private parkland space for exercise and the 24-hour management and security on-site were a great help to residents during the pandemic.

“These communities that make our developments so beloved and individual will follow through in soon-to-be launched upcoming developments,” says Comer.

The move from urban living to green spaces has prompted record house prices and a shift in consumer behaviour.

Particularly in the past year and a half, consumers have wanted more living space and outdoor space and were less concerned with being city-centric, notes Comer.

Comer Homes is to launch Newland Park in early 2022, near the village of Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire.

Newland Park consists of a Grade II listed Georgian manor with new homes, set in 176 acres of surrounding mature parkland that will certainly fulfil the yearning for green spaces.

Newland Park will have a courtesy bus, gym, restaurant and other amenities on-site.

The development also has excellent transport links into central London.
