Triple netter seals points at Scrabble

SIMON LINDEN claims his Temple Fortune A side are heading in the right direction after they came away from Scrabble with a 5-2 win in Division One of the Maccabi GB Southern Football League.

Michael Goldberg netted what proved to be a match-winning hattrick, with Daniel Vandermole­n and Alon Hershkorn also scoring.

Linden said: “That’s back-to-back wins and the boys are on a high at the moment. These wins have been coming. We were competing in the earlier games this season but not quite getting results over the line.”

Borussia Jewdinese closed the gap at the top of the table thanks to a 4-1 win over Mill Hill Dons with Zack Collins, Adam Gold, Ben Berrick and Zac Brin all on target.

NWL Azzuri climbed up to fourth spot after beating Hampstead Ducks 5-1. Josh Sarna-Star scored twice, with Sam Morris, Zak Johnson and Solly Bradley also netting.

Brook Farm Rovers ran out comprehens­ive 5-0 winners over Straw Hat Pirates. Dan Cohen helped himself to two goals, with Adam Goldberg, Phillipe Auret and Oli Assor adding the other goals.

Hendon United Sports club extended their lead at the top of the Premier Division to nine points following a 4-1 win over HMH. Chaim Korman scored twice, with Avi Korman and Moses Seitler netting the other two. Manager David Garbacz said: “It was another great game between two top teams. We’re now in a strong position and we have no intention of letting up.”

Bears, slumped to a 3-0 defeat to club de Chigwell. Elsewhere, Oakwood and Faithfold White played out a thrilling 3-3 draw. London Athletico are up into second spot following a 2-1 win over Brady FC. Saul Fenton and Max Walker — direct from a corner with the last kick of the game — were both on target.

Josh Cohen’s hat-trick helped Qarabagel make it three wins on the spin as they came away from Real Madreidel with a 5-2 win with Alex Landau and Zak Fraser also scoring. Goals from Marcus Godfrey, Jake Dayan and Benji Radnor saw Millbrook Park Calcio claim a 3-0 win at Oakwood. Chairman Dominic Levene said: “It was a really tight first half, but we kept fighting and in the end deserved the win.”

Hapoel Hampstead claimed a thrilling 5-2 win at Temple Fortune B — despite having found themselves 2-0 down at the break. Sam Prais scored twice, with Matti Brooks, Saul Westbrook and Jordan Conn scoring.

Boca Chillers notched up their second league win of the season, Jack Davis, James Belchak and Josh Burchhardt netting in a 5-2 win at Temple Fortune B.

Maccabi London Brady moved to the top of the Maccabi Masters Football League table thanks to a 5-1 win at Glenthorne. Strikes from Tim Levene, Kevin Lotzof, Ashley Davidson, Jonathan Cohen and an own goal sealing the win.

St John’s Wood Tigers are now joint-third as goals from Adam Soller and John Perloff — the latter from the penalty spot — saw them win 2-0 at Marshside.

Hendon Harriers secured their first points of the season, Richard Morris’ strike seeing them to a 1-0 win against previously unbeaten Temple Fortune.

Reich moved three points clear at the top of the Manchester Jewish Soccer League as six goals from Shloime Halpern helped them to a 9-1 win over Broughton Park Rangers. Finley Rubens, Matty Miller and Avi Libbert scored their other three.

Jewventus consolidat­ed third spot as Ben Levy and Sam Clarfield netted in their 2-1 win at Leeds Maccabi.

The Maccabi GB Junior Football League once again hosted a full set of fixtures, with 14 ties played across their two venues — including a league debut for the new under-8s team.
