Anew luxury show apartment has been launched at Harefield Place, Ickenham, following the success of phase one, now more than 50 per cent sold. Approached via a private gated drive and set in over eight acres of private landscaped grounds, Harefield Place is a Grade II listed Georgian manor house that has been transformed into luxury apartments. There are 25 converted and newly built two- and threebedroom homes, plus a wellness centre with spa, gym and swimming pool and an all-weather tennis court.

The new show apartment is in the Georgian manor house, part of the Heritage Collection at Harefield Place, contrasting with the Contemporary Collection in the new wing. It has two bedrooms, both with en-suite facilities, a large kitchen/dining room and a 31ft drawing room with bay window, all with views across the lawns and countryside.

Helen Todd, head of Stubbings Property Marketing for Harefield Place, says: “The apartments and location have attracted interest from a wide range of buyers and are perfect for those seeking to upgrade or downsize, as well as buyers who wish to remain in a more rural setting with easy access to the city — central London is less than an hour away — without concern for security and up-keep; the hotel-style leisure facilities and ample secure parking have also found favour.”

The show apartment is on the raised ground floor, directly off the original grand entrance hall of the manor, which has been retained. The apartment has its own entrance hall, with cloak cupboard and cloakroom which opens on to the kitchen/dining room, a focal point of which is the fireplace and refurbished stone surround.

The open-plan kitchen/dining area has Edwardian-style cornices and ceiling rose, dado rail, skirting, architrave and custom wall panelling. Engineered wooden flooring has been used throughout and the kitchen has an island with breakfast bar, bespoke cabinets, granite worktops, integrated Siemens appliances and a Quooker water tap. Two large Georgian style sash windows look out across the gardens.

Leading off the kitchen/dining area is the drawing room. The vaulted ceilings and fireplace with Georgian style mantel and marble surround add to the character of the room, as do the picture rail, skirting, architrave and custom wall panelling.

The view from the bay window is the focal point during the day, while at night the fireplace draws the room together. The palette has been kept neutral, with hints of green/grey that connect to the outside greenery and accentuate the vivid green of the fireplace surround. The furniture is arranged to create a dining zone and a relaxation zone with fireside chair and study/desk.

The two luxury bedroom suites have fitted wardrobes and fitted carpet and each has a large sash window.

All the apartments at Harefield Place have underfloor heating, Minoli marble effect tiling for bathroom floors and walls and LED downlights.

There is lift access to all floors, including the underground car park, where secure parking is provided for each apartment, along with individual storage space. Parking bays with electric vehicle charging points are offered. Visitor parking is also available at Harefield Place. The main gate is electrically operated and the gate house is manned at selected times; there is video entry to each apartment, with security and fire alarm systems. The 8.5 acres of landscaped grounds include space for entertaining, picnics, croquet, jogging and walks. By the manor house there is a large lawn bordered by mature trees, where Shakespeare’s players once performed to Queen Elizabeth I. And bordering the lawns around the house there are wooded grounds with gravelled pathways, the lake and an orchard.

Harefield Place is close to the tube (Ickenham) and mainline train stations (Hillingdon & West Ruislip), with easy access to the M40 and M25. It has been developed by Manorgrove Homes, in association with Jade Development Enterprises. The new Classic Collection show home and a further dressed apartment in the Contemporary Collection are available to view in person and online. Apartments at Harefield Place are priced from £850,000 to £1,575,000 (with share of freehold).
