Natasha comes up with a cracker of a business

ANEW cheese shop is opening on Heaton Road in Newcastle giving people the chance to build their own cheeseboar­d.

Natasha Lupyna left her retail job to start the business, named Crackers4C­heese, during the pandemic – and it has grown ever since.

Natasha started to post pictures of her cheeseboar­d creations and they went down a treat on social media, with people requesting her to make more and deliver them to local houses.

This is exactly what Natasha did, and she expanded the business to include buffets when people started

to have parties again.

This support from friends, family and customers allowed Natasha to win the Small Business Award from Newcastle City Council.

The business has grown over the last few years, with Natasha starting off making the cheeseboar­ds from her kitchen and soon realising that she needed a bigger premises.

Natasha said: “I didn’t have the idea of a shop when I first started the

business, but I knew when the unit came up on Heaton Road that I needed to make it happen.

“Every business on Heaton Road is very successful and everyone works hard to keep up the high standards.

“I feel like the world is my oyster and I can have limitless ideas, like the new addition of allowing people to build their own cheeseboar­d.

“I like to think of us as the Subway of the cheese world, giving people a lot of different choices.

“My future goal would be to have a lot of Crackers4C­heese shops all over the North East, giving everyone in the region a wider range of things that they can get.

“I was worried to begin with as I left my job for this, but my job is now

my biggest passion which I think helps massively. It’s nice to get up and running and it is really exciting, it’s really good to see how positive things have been and I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the business going forward.”

Crackers4C­heese opens on April 21, with food samples given out on opening day.
