A question of faith

In his column last week on the demise of grammar schools, Peter Hitchens lamented that the ‘modern liberal Left’ would rather ‘teach children how to have sex than teach them to believe in God’. I applaud his views on the benefit of grammar schools but disagree that children should be taught to believe in God. Should they not be taught ‘about god’ so they can decide for themselves?
