Wigan thought they had snatched a point with Will Grigg’s second of the game, but Thomas Lam hit an injury-time winner.

Britt Assombalonga had opened the scoring for Forest and Oliver Burke netted two well-taken goals, with Michael Jacobs getting Wigan’s first.
