Two years after jail release over ill health, ‘Fast Eddie’ is back hosting sex parties
HE WAS shamed for running high society sex parties and jailed for his part in a multi-millionpound fraud.
But self-styled ‘Lord’ Edward Davenport is still hosting lucrative orgies, staging them just across the road from the Central London mansion he was forced to sell.
Davenport, described by the trial judge as a ‘very, very dishonest man’, was sentenced to eight years and seven months in prison in 2011 for being the ‘ringmaster’ in a £4.5million deception.
He was released after just three after convincing the authorities he was gravely ill. He notoriously underwent a kidney transplant while in handcuffs.
Despite his poor health, Davenport, also known as ‘Fast Eddie’, staged a sex party on Friday.
The event, where women were encouraged to dress as ‘school girls’ and men as ‘headmasters’, took place at 32 Portland Place, the £30 million mansion where he lives, and was organised by Killing Kittens, the sex-party firm set up by Emma Sayle, a schoolfriend of the Duchess of Cambridge.
Davenport first came to public notice for organising the hedonistic Gatecrasher Balls frequented by wealthy teenagers, before making a fortune in property deals. A member of Davenport’s circle said: ‘The sex parties happen at 32 Portland Place just like they used to at 33. He sees it as a two-fingered salute to the authorities. He’s fairly arrogant like that.’
Ms Sayle said she rented the mansion from a ‘group of businessmen’ involved with Davenport. It is unclear who owns 32 Portland Place as it is currently registered to an offshore company.
When contacted, Davenport attempted to distance himself from No32 – even though he has a private apartment on the second floor and hosted his 50th birthday party recently at the house.
The Mail on Sunday understands at least one sex party a week takes place, and Davenport receives rent and some proceeds from the bar.
A regular at Killing Kittens’ parties said: ‘I’ve been to maybe eight or nine KK parties at 32 Portland Square. Eddie’s always there, an Oriental lady on his arm, velvet smoking jacket, no shirt, Gucci slipons, no socks, top hat and cane.
‘He seldom plays [has sex] or if he does, he takes them to his own private apartment.’
