Michael Bublé: I’m back on my feet – thanks to Peter Kay

CLEAN-CUT crooner Michael Bublé has revealed an unlikely ally in his battle to beat the booze – comic Peter Kay.

In an exclusive interview in The Mail on Sunday’s Event magazine today, Canadian star Bublé, 41, tells how he speaks to Kay regularly and that their conversations are ‘deeply therapeutic’.

Bublé says he used to drink and smoke heavily, and his debauched lifestyle led to damage of his vocal cords.

He had surgery to save his voice earlier this year. The father-of-two, who is now teetotal, met Kay at the 2009 Royal Variety Performance and says: ‘He’s helped me through a lot of really hard times.’
