Labour MPs are discussing a new strategy for coping with Jeremy Corbyn’s re-election as leader. ‘It’s “The Trump Plan”,’ one rebel informs me. ‘If May calls a snap Election we’re going to cut him loose just like the Republicans have. We won’t have him on our leaflets, we won’t campaign with him – we’ll disown him.’ We’ll have to start calling him ‘The Jeremy’.
