Alderweireld injury blow

TOTTENHAM face an anxious wait on the extent of an injury to Toby Alderweireld that almost certainly rules him out of Tuesday’s Champions League game at Bayer Leverkusen.

The defender was taken off on a stretcher after an hour of the draw with West Brom, having fallen awkwardly when trying to clear a cross and appearing to damage his right knee. Boss Mauricio Pochettino said: ‘We need to wait 24 to 48 hours.’
