‘Incredible’ Owen’s ready for England

OWEN FARRELL’S superb return to action provided some long overdue good news for England head coach Eddie Jones yesterday.

Injuries had threatened the threequarter’s participation in England’s autumn internationals but following his man-ofthe-match display for Saracens he is now expected to wear the No12 shirt alongside Bath’s George Ford against South Africa at Twickenham on November 12.

‘It’s remarkable, to play how he played,’ said Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall. ‘There was a passage in the second half that lasted forever, we cleared and Owen was one of two people that made the tackle. and it was incredible he had the stamina to do that.’
