Jimmy devastated to miss pal’s landmark

-

JIMMY ANDERSON admits he will be devastated to miss his friend and opening bowling partner Stuart Broad’s 100th Test appearance. Broad (left with Anderson after winning the Ashes last summer) will reach that landmark if he plays both Tests in Bangladesh.

Anderson, who is out with a shoulder injury, said: ‘I was glad to be watching at Trent Bridge when he got his 300th wicket [taking a Test best 8-15 against Australia in Aug 2015]. It was nice to experience that with him.

‘We’ve been through a lot together and developed this great partnership on and off the field. I’ll be devastated not to be there. I’m sure he’ll enjoy it anyway.’
