Now wife of disgraced Osborne faces GMC inquiry
THE General Medical Council is to open a fresh investigation into the case involving the psychiatrist brother of former Chancellor George Osborne, who was struck off for having sex with a vulnerable patient.
Disgraced Adam Osborne’s wife, plastic surgeon Rahala Noor, faces an inquiry into her professional conduct and allegations that she sent threatening emails to the patient – details of which were reported in this newspaper.
In the emails, Dr Noor called the woman a ‘prostitute’ and said that Osborne loved to watch ‘other guys **** me’.
Last night, the patient’s partner said: ‘Rahala Noor has been an instrument for her husband, both to clean up his mess and facilitate his desires, so I want her struck off as well.
‘I don’t want Osborne to have access to vulnerable women through her GMC licence.’
The GMC dropped an initial investigation into Noor but now the anonymous author of a review says: ‘I am mindful of the seriousness of the concerns about Dr Noor… and the fact they have not been investigated.’
Examiners are to reconsider Dr Noor’s case and decide if she should be charged.
Her solicitors say the emails were not threatening.
