The Brits: No grime, no meat – and no vodka!

-

THE edgiest after-party on Brits night must have been the one hosted by grime rapper Skepta, inset below, under some railway arches in Bermondsey, South London. But was it too ‘grimey’ for squeaky clean Katy Perry? When I popped by, the rowdy guests were abuzz with news that Perry, left, pulled up in a blacked-out car after her turn at the Universal party hosted by Soho House, but decided against getting out and immediately drove off. I wonder if she’d been put off by the false rumour circulating about a knife fight. Pity – she could have joined me and fellow guests Tinie Tempah and Ellie Goulding. BROOKLYN Beckham thought his luck was in when he was handed a £2,000 VIP goody bag at a Brits after-party hosted by record label Warner. As the event was sponsored by vodka brand Ciroc, each bag contained a bottle of the spirit. But when the 17year-old peered inside his freebie, not surprisingly the vodka had been removed. Still, at least Brooklyn got to keep the other items, including designer cufflinks and perfume. EXPECT a lot of grumpy roadies when Adele starts the Australian and New Zealand legs of her world tour this week – she has banned her entourage from eating meat. The singer, left, who has been a vegetarian since 2011, has changed the catering arrangements to make all her crew’s meals meat-free Down Under. My spies at the Brits tell me the decision has upset the crew, who are more used to pies than quinoa. Adele takes to the stage in Perth on Tuesday, before dates in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Auckland.
