Benteke lashes out

CHRISTIAN BENTEKE and Andros Townsend were involved in a heated row after the full-time whistle.

Despite securing a vital win in their quest to stay up, the Palace pair stood toe-to-toe. Benteke was furious with Townsend for not squaring him the ball in the closing stages of the game, opting to shoot instead. And the Belgium striker let his colleague know his feelings during the spat.

It was left to Boro keeper Victor Valdes to intervene.

Benteke then stormed off down the tunnel, refusing to celebrate with team-mates.
