Reasons to love foxes

Good for Radio 4 announcer Zeb Soanes for befriending the urban fox he’s named Gaspard. Foxes are timid creatures who kill only to survive.

John Mansford, Basildon, Essex A fox is only an undomesticated dog and is one of nature’s true delights. Foxes are accused of spreading disease and attacking other animals, as well as people. But the same accusation can be levelled at any cat or dog. We should be grateful for foxes – they act as overnight street-cleaners, removing food carelessly discarded by human folk.
