John Mansford, Basildon, Essex A fox is only an undomestic­ated dog and is one of nature’s true delights. Foxes are accused of spreading disease and attacking other animals, as well as people. But the same accusation can be levelled at any cat or dog. We should be grateful for foxes – they act as overnight street-cleaners, removing food carelessly discarded by human folk.
