IT’S NOT OVER!

We’re coming to get you, warns Pochettino as Chelsea crash

MAURICIO POCHETTINO warned Chelsea that Tottenham are ready to pounce on any further mistakes after Antonio Conte’s runaway Premier League leaders crashed to a shock 2-1 defeat by Crystal Palace.

Spurs took full advantage with a 2-0 win at Burnley to cut the gap at the top to seven points with nine games left and breathe life into a title race that seemed over.

The Tottenham manager said: ‘This win is massive for us. We have to be there if Chelsea fail and we are there. We are fighting for the Premier League.’

Eric Dier and substitute Son Heung-min scored the goals in 11 second- half minutes for Spurs. Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke had been on target for Palace as they came from behind to win in the early kick- off at a stunned Stamford Bridge.

‘It was a massive three points for us to still believe, and fight for the title,’ added Pochettino. ‘I’m very proud because it was a really tough game for us.’

Chelsea are still favourites to claim a fifth Premier League title in 12 years but Conte admits every game from now on will be a battle — starting with the visit ofManchester City on Wednesday.

‘For you, it’s a good result,’ Conte said with a smile in his post-match press conference.

‘It makes it more interesting, the championship. But I always said that the league finishes when it is mathematically sure you have won. Otherwise you must play every game to try to win because, I repeat, in England easy games do not exist.

‘Every game will be very tough from now until the end, whether the team is Manchester City or a side fighting in the relegation zone.

‘Yes, we have to play on Wednesday against Manchester City and we all know the strength of this team. But now the most important thing is to recover very well and rest. It’s important to prepare in the right way for this game.’
