As my picture, right, shows, reality TV star Spencer’s latest wheeze was to sport the long hair extensions belonging to his girlfriend Vogue Williams and claim: ‘I quite like it, especially with my summer shirt.’ I wonder if this is his far-from-subtle protest about Vogue not being invited to the wedding next month?

Meanwhile, it appears that Jack Brooksbank, Princess Eugenie’s boyfriend of seven years, will not be at the ceremony either, after falling victim to Pippa’s ‘no ring, no bring’ rule. Pippa has decreed that some guests can only bring a plus-one if they are married or engaged.
