STEVENAGE boss Darren Sarll thought his team did enough to win, and said: ‘We were the better team.’ Josh McQuoid levelled after Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro put Yeovil ahead.

NOTTS CO 1 BLACKPOOL 0

BLACKPOOL lost ground in their hunt for a play-off place as they went down to Notts defender Richard Duffy’s fourth goal of the season. Blackpool boss Gary Bowyer said: ‘We huffed and puffed and gave away a silly goal.’

MORECAMBE 1 WYCOMBE 1

A LATE goal from Adebayo Akinfenwa gave Wycombe a vital point in their play-off bid as he cancelled out Kevin Ellison’s goal. Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth called it ‘scrappy’.

MANSFIELD 0 PORTSMOUTH 1

CARL BAKER kept Portsmouth’s title hopes alive with the only goal at play-off chasers Mansfield. Portsmouth boss Paul Cook said: ‘It was a tough game and I thought the lads were excellent, I’m very proud of them.’

L ORIENT 1 COLCHESTER 3

COLCHESTER won after a two-hour delay following a pitch invasion. Tariq Fosu, Chris Porter and Macauley Bonne scored. with Sandro Semedo replying.

PLYMOUTH 2 CREWE 1

SUBSTITUTE Nate Blissett headed a late winner to send Plymouth top of the table after Ryan Taylor, five minutes earlier, cancelled out James Jones’ opener for Crewe.

ACCRINGTON 1 LUTON 4

LUTON secured their place in the play-offs as Accrington’s hopes ended. James Justin, an Omar Beckles own-goal, Isaac Vassell and Jack Marriott scored for Luton, Matty Pearson replying.

BARNET 3 GRIMSBY 1

BARNET dominated the midtable clash with Grimsby. John Akinde and David Tutonda put them in charge before Curtis Westyon made it 3-0. Craig Disley pulled one back.

CAMBRIDGE 2 CRAWLEY 0

CAMBRIDGE took their play-off bid to the final day. Scott Wharton opened the scoring and Luke Berry added the second from the spot after Crawley had Josh Payne sent off for bringing down Gerry McDonagh.

CARLISLE 2 NEWPORT 1

GOALS from Jabo Ibehre and Nicky Adams fired Carlisle back into the play-off picture as Newport were left facing a lastday battle to preserve their league status. Micky Demetriou had put the Welsh side ahead.

CHELTENHAM 1 HARTLEPOOL 0

CHELTENHAM secured survival thanks to Danny Wright’s goal while Hartlepool’s fate will go to the final day. Interim Hartlepool boss Matthew Bates said: ‘I am more confident now.’
