LIB DEM Tim Farron toyed with the idea of using the ITV leaders debate to tease Ukip’s Paul Nuttall about his supposed physical resemblance to ‘Eddie Hitler’, the violent drunk played by comedian Adrian Edmondson in madcap 1990s TV series Bottom. In the event, Farron decided not to risk it. ‘Look what happened to Ken Livingstone after he got in a row over Hitler,’ said a Lib Dem aide.
