IT IS the height of opulent glamour, played out in front of the flashblulbs of the world’s press. So it’s no wonder that fashionable A-list stars always want to put their best foot forward at the Cannes Film Festival.
And at this year’s festival – which began on Wednesday and ends next Sunday – they are taking that very literally.
Risqué evening gowns with thigh-high slits are de rigueur on the Coissette in 2017 – and the parade of stunning women taking to the red carpets are all keen to show off their pins to best advantage.
That means striking a peculiar pose that flashes one leg for the camera – while leaving the other completely hidden, giving the unfortunate impression that they have literally given their left (or right) leg for a Hollywood career.
