BBC’s treatment of its stars is a turn-off
I wish that I could pay the BBC a monthly subscription for the privilege of watching its programmes. After the Corporation’s treatment of Springwatch presenter Martin Hughes-Games, who was fired for being ‘white and middleclass’ and then reinstated, this would at least enable me to cancel my contract with them to show my displeasure. No doubt many more viewers would follow suit, and we would see those in grossly overpaid positions suffer from revenue loss as punishment for their own incompetence.
