CRAWLEY won for the first time under Harry Kewell thanks to goals from Jordan Roberts and Jimmy Smith and an own-goal by Swindon skipper Oliver Lancashire. Kewell said: ‘It’s a fantastic feeling to get our first win. We deserved it.’

BARNET 0 STEVENAGE 1

STEVENAGE held on with 10 men to beat local rivals Barnet. Tom Pett got the goal before Dale Gorman was sent off. Stevenage boss Darren Sarll said: ‘I haven’t seen the red card incident, in true Premier League manager style.’

YEOVIL 2 COVENTRY 0

COVENTRY lost their second successive league match as goals from Rhys Browne and Olufela Olomola won it for Yeovil, and boss Mark Robins said: ‘I’m aggrieved.’

CAMBRIDGE 0 MORECAMBE 0

SHAUN DERRY praised his Cambridge side’s performanc­e after they were held by Morecambe. He said: ‘I thought the performanc­e was fantastic. Obviously we’re disappoint­ed that we’ve not got the three points.’

PORT VALE 0 CREWE 1

CHRIS DAGNALL got the goal as Crewe saw off 10-man Port Vale, who had Michael Tonge sent off. Vale boss Michael Brown said: ‘It looks dangerous, but there’s minimal contact.’

MANSFIELD 2 LUTON 2

MAREK STECH saved an injury-time penalty as Luton rescued a draw. Mansfield were two up thanks to Rhys Bennett and Lee Angol, only for Lee Collings and Danny Hylton to level in ther last five minutes. Stech (above) then kept out a Jimmy Spencer penalty deep into stoppage time to ensure Luton a point. ‘Their keeper made a really good save,’ admitted Mansfield boss Steve Evans.

CHELTENHAM 3 EXETER 4

EXETER hit back from two down to maintain their impressive start. Kevin Dawson (2) and Dan Holman were on target for the home side, who had Jamie Grimes sent off, but Jordan Moore-Taylor, Reuben Reid (2) and Jake Taylor replied.

NEWPORT 4 CHESTERFIE­LD 1

FRANK NOUBLE’S hat-trick led Newport to victory. Padraig Amond also scored after Chris O’Grady put Chesterfie­ld in front. ‘Frank is unplayable at times,’ said boss Michael Flynn.

TWO rare goals from Alex Woodyard were key for Lincoln. Matt Rhead and Billy Knott were also on target, while Reggie Lambe scored for Carlisle, who had Tom Parkes sent off.

TWO goals from Adebayo Akinfenwa and one from Joe Jacobson gave Wycombe a fine away win. Mitch Rose and JJ Hooper scored for the home side, who had Danny Collins sent off for two bookable offences.
