‘Poverty hit’ Samoans on £650 each to play England
SAMOA’S players will earn just £650 each from next month’s £10million Test against England at Twickenham.
Eddie Jones’ stars, in contrast, will pocket £22,000 each.
Former Samoa captain Dan Leo said: ‘The hosts still keep all the revenue — meaning the Pacific Islands get nothing because the big nations never play there. There are guys in that team living beneath the poverty line.’
