NEW ZEALAND bagged OFC’s play-off place after emerging from three rounds of regional qualifying, topped off with an 8-3 aggregate win over the Solomon Islands, with Burnley’s Chris Wood (right) grabbing a hat-trick in the first leg. All that now stands between the Kiwis and a third World Cup finals in their history is a play-off against the fifth-placed CONMEBOL nation. Wood and his team-mates will eagerly await how Messi and Co fare high up in the mountains of Ecuador on Tuesday.
