WEST HAM are free to bring Reece Oxford back from Borussia Monchengladbach in January because the teenager has not played enough in Germany, writes Kieran Gill.
Oxford’s loan deal said he had to appear seven times for Monchengladbach to avoid the break clause being activated but he has appeared just three times.
David Moyes will decide closer to January whether to have the teen return.
Oxford’s Bundesliga debut was as a late substitute in October but he started his next two appearances in the German top flight last week.
Club insiders, meanwhile, have laughed off suggestions that West Ham would be willing to sell the 19-year-old permanently to Monchengladbach — particularly for the low price of £6million.
Former boss Slaven Bilic once described Oxford as worth £20m.
