Berlin is one of the great European cities and you will see its fascinating highlights, from Checkpoint Charlie – the EastWest border crossing that became a poignant symbol of the Cold War – to the iconic Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag parliament building and what remains of the Berlin Wall. You will also have the opportunity to visit the Olympiastadion, which hosted the 1936 Olympics.

Overlooking the River Elbe, foreboding Colditz Castle has become synonymous with wartime heroism – and great escapes. On a fascinating guided tour of the castle, you will see escape tunnels, a home-made radio, false uniforms and other ingeniously crafted escape equipment.
HISTORIC DRESDEN AND MEISSEN
This exclusive tour also takes in the beautiful 12th Century city of Dresden, famous for its art, music and culture. The city was all but destroyed during the Second World War but has been restored to its former glory. You will also have the opportunity to visit the nearby town of Meissen and take a fascinating guided tour of one of its world-famous porcelain factories.
