ENGLAND’S World Cup goalkeeping hero Jordan Pickford is good at saving many things, but money doesn’t seem to be one of them.

The Everton star and his fiancee Megan Davison spent £50,000 on a party last Sunday just to announce the gender of their unborn child.

The couple invited 100 relatives and friends to Ramside Hall Hotel in County Durham for a slap-up meal complete with singing waiters and a three-tier cake.

Jordan, 24, and Megan, 22, also hired local firms Balloon-ilicious and Wild and Wonderful to create spectacular displays of balloons and flowers, including an entire wall of cream roses.

But the highlight came when Jordan and Megan burst a balloon and a piece of blue paper fell out – signifying that their first baby will be a boy.

Jordan, who unlike Megan did not know the gender of their child, leapt for joy and hugged his fian- cee as the news was announced. Not content with the professional photographer hired to record the moment, Megan also shared images with her Instagram followers. ‘When two hearts become three, I can’t wait for the next chapter with my fiance. It’s a boy,’ she wrote beneath one picture.

Under another showing her with friends, she posted: ‘Just loved yes- terday with our friends and family, want to do it all over again.’

Gender reveal parties began in America three years ago, but have begun to cross the Atlantic. Actress Kate Hudson threw one to reveal she was expecting a daughter, Rani Rose, who was born four days ago.

Jordan, who moved from Sunderland to Everton last year in a deal worth £25 million, was one of the stars of England’s World Cup campaign i n Russia t his summer. Megan was among the WAGs who travelled to the tournament and saw her fiance save a crucial penalty against Colombia.

While Pickford may find his son gives him sleepless nights, the cost of the party is unlikely to do so given that he reportedly earns £60,000 a week at Everton.
