Fiona blunders into some unfriendly fire

SPARKS have been flying during off-camera auditions to replace David Dimbleby as host of Question Time. Hot favourite Fiona Bruce, left, turned to Tory MP Johnny Mercer, sitting on a special test panel convened for the occasion, to quiz him about Trade Secretary Liam Fox’s view that Brexit deals would be ‘easy’. Former soldier Mercer shot back: ‘If you’re going to sit here and list every stupid thing one of my colleagues has ever said, it’s going to be a long night.’
