7 climbers die in snowstorm

AT LEAST seven climbers have been killed after a violent snowstorm swept through their base camp. A further two are missing on the 23,599ft Mount Gurja in Nepal.

Rescue helicopters were unable to land because of bad weather but villagers who reached the camp yesterday found the bodies of four South Koreans, two Nepalese guides and another person who is yet to be identified.
