Why so much waste?

I agree completely with your correspondent last week about blister packs of medication adding to the production of waste plastic.

I take nine tablets every morning and three at night. Once a week I load up a dispensing box and despair at the amount of empty packs I have to put in the bin. The blister packs are plastic but the reverse contains metal and so can’t be recycled. Sue Howard, Chinley, Derbyshire
