BARNSLEY boss Daniel Stendel was happy with a draw despite being denied a sixth consecutiv­e league win. He said: ‘I think in the end we can be satisfied with the draw. Compliment­s to Doncaster, as they were very good. We played good, but not good enough win this game in the end. It’s OK, we can’t play well every week.’ Herbie Kane put the visitors in front before Cauley Woodrow (above) levelled for Barnsley.

SCUNTHORPE 1 PORTSMOUTH 2

LEADERS Portsmouth maintained their impressive away record by grinding out an eighth win from 10 games on the road. Tom Naylor and Gareth Evans got their goals in the first half, before Lee Novak pulled one back for the home side.

WALSALL 2 SUNDERLAND 2

SUNDERLAND made it 13 games unbeaten, despite Max Power’s red card. Aiden McGeady and Lynden Gooch rescued a point after Josh Gordon and Josh Ginnelly put Walsall in control.

WYCOMBE 3 SHREWSBURY 2

WYCOMBE recorded their fifth straight home league win. Adam El-Abd, Joe Jacobson and Alex Samuel got their goals after Aaron Holloway had put Shrewsbury ahead. Fejiri Okenabirhi­e got the visitors’ second late on.

WIMBLEDON 2 SOUTHEND 1

MITCH Pinnock came back to haunt his old team as he scored one and set up Deji Oshilaja for the other in a comeback win. They had been shaken by an early Liam Trotter own-goal.

ROCHDALE 1 ACCRINGTON 0

MANAGER Keith Hill hit out at Rochdale’s silent supporters after Ian Henderson clinched victory. He said: ‘The away supporters were right – this is a library. Create some atmosphere for God’s sake and support the team.’

BLACKPOOL 3 BURTON 0

THREE goals in the space of 12 second-half minutes helped Blackpool keep up their play-off push. Armand Gnanduille­t, Jordan Thompson and Joe Dodoo got the goals.

PLYMOUTH 2 FLEETWOOD 1

IN-FORM striker Freddie Ladapo scored twice to win it for Plymouth, with Paddy Madden pulling one back in between. Plymouth boss Derek Adams said: ‘We could have got a couple more, we hit a post twice.’

BRADFORD 2 OXFORD 0

TEN-MAN Bradford City ended a run of seven League matches without a win. David Ball and Jack Payne got the goals before defender Nat Knight-Percival was sent off late on.

GILLINGHAM 1 LUTON 3

LUTON claimed a seventh win in nine as Elliot Lee scored twice. Andrew Shinnie had opened the scoring, with Tom Eaves pulling one back. Gillingham boss Steve Lovell insisted: ‘I think for most of the game we matched them.’

CHARLTON 3 BRISTOL R 1

JAMIE WARD, Joe Aribo and Karlan Grant were all on target as Charlton collected a third straight league win. Joe Martin had cancelled out Ward’s opener, but to no avail.
