10: DIEGO MARADONA The one-time best player on the planet took charge of Argentina for a spell that ended in a 4-0 humiliatio­n by Germany.

CF: ALAN SHEARER As a manager of Newcastle in 2009: eight games, one win, five points. Relegation. The record goalscorer has not managed since.

MANAGER: ALAN BALL Five out of the six clubs the 1966 World Cup winner managed ultimately got relegated.
