How Brooklyn’s model girlfriend’s a walking ad for Brand Beckham
AS THE new girlfriend of their eldest son, it is only right that David and Victoria Beckham would welcome Hana Cross into the family. But so deeply embedded is the 21-year-old model that she has already become a walking billboard for Brand Beckham, sporting a series of items from Victoria’s fashion lines. She has been dating 19- year- old Brooklyn for only three months, but the Beckhams lost no time in harnessing her talents, not to mention her considerable social-media following. The promotional efforts are much needed, given that Victoria’s couture house lost £10 million last year. Proud Victoria, 44, posted an image of Hana on Twitter last week in which she was dressed head-to-toe in the latest VB collection, including a £1,191,195 parka jacket, £1,765 leather trousers and a £100 T-shirt. She wrote that Hana was ‘looking great’ in the outfit. Meanwhile, the model posted a picture on her own Instagram ppage in which she was wearing only items from Victoria’s new range for Reebok: a £250 orange hoodie, £110 beanie hat and £330 dark grey bomber jacket. She told her 166,000 followers: ‘Love love love my new beanie, hoodie and bomber from #reebokxvictoriabeckham.’
Hana has also worn David’s designs, sporting a £345 cricket jumper from his fashion line Kent and Cerwin at London Fashion Week in January.
A source close to the Beckhams said: ‘For Victoria, getting the world to see her clothes on high- profile people is a must, it’s a business model she loves to use. So can you just imagine how delighted she is to have a supermodel in the family?
‘She thinks Hana is just beautiful so is loving dishing clothes out to her to wear.’
The source added that Huddersfieldborn Hana was a self-made young woman and ‘not a hanger-on at all’.
