FLEETWOOD 0 IPSWICH 1

IPSWICH manager Paul Lambert felt his side deserved nothing less than three points. He said: ‘We knew that it would be tough here but we have more than matched them in every department. We were excellent from start to finish. I thought we fully deserved to win.’ A clinical finish from Kayden Jackson (above) proved the difference. Jackson later put a penalty wide before Ipswich defender James Wilson was shown a second yellow card in stoppage-time.

WYCOMBE 3 PETERBORO 3

TWO goals from Adebayo Akinfenwa, including a late penalty, saw 10-man Wycombe snatch a draw. They benefited from a Christy Pym own-goal and claimed a point despite Curtis Thompson’s red card.

OXFORD extended their unbeaten run to six games, thanks to goals from Tariqe Fosu and Cameron Brannagan. Jordan Clark and Offrande Zanzala replied for Accrington.

CALLUM LANG’S second goal of the season was enough for Shrewsbury to edge Tranmere, who had Connor Jennings sent off. Manager Sam Ricketts called it ‘a thoroughly professional performance’.

WIMBLEDON finally claimed their first victory of the season thanks to first-half goals from Marcus Forss, Paul Osew and Mitch Pinnock. Ian Henderson pulled two back.

ELLIS HARRISON’S injury-time header snatched victory for Portsmouth. Gareth Evans had put them ahead before Reece James levelled for Doncaster only for Harrison to win it.

MK DONS 0 BURTON 3

NIGEL CLOUGH says Burton will go into their two-week break with their tails up after Liam Boyce’s brace and a goal from Oliver Sarkic earned them victory. ‘Three points and a clean sheet is nice to have under our belt,’ he said.

GILLINGHAM 3 SOUTHEND 1

MANAGERLESS Southend lost for the ninth time in the league. Alfie Jones, Stuart O’Keefe and Brandon Hanlan got Gillingham’s goals but Mikael Ndjoli missed two penalties for them.

LINCOLN 2 SUNDERLAND 0

LINCOLN boss Michael Appleton was full of praise for match-winner Tyler Walker’s personality. Walker (right) could have had a hat-trick but saw his first effort credited as an own-goal by keeper Jon McLaughlin and then missed a penalty before finally getting one. Appleton said: ‘It would have been easy for him to feel sorry for himself. But he dusted himself down and got on with it.’
