You’ll catch your death in that, Rosie . . .

No such fears for Emma in her cosy coat!

- By Michael Powell

THEY are both striking looks for cold November days – but for very different reasons. While model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley turned heads in a chilly New York, leaving little to the imagination in a plunging black midi dress, Emma Watson stepped out in London in a coat that only someone who is happily ‘self-partnered’ can pull off.

Emma wrapped up in a bizarre coat of clashing zebra stripes and bright red roses for a stroll last week. The £600 faux fur coat, by uber-cool designer Shrimps, is not the sort of outfit to wear if you want to go unnoticed.

But the 29-year-old may have thought she could throw selfie-hunters off the scent by teaming it with a baseball cap featuring the slogan Almost Famous pulled down low.

The Harry Potter star, who is worth £52 million, was mocked last week after she said in an interview that she was ‘self-partnered’ rather than single, as she addressed the pressures of turning 30.

The phrase drew comparisons with Gwyneth Paltrow calling her divorce from Coldplay’s Chris Martin a conscious uncoupling.

Despite her remarks to British Vogue, Emma has been romantically linked with a string of men over the past few years – and was spotted kissing a mystery man outside a London bakery a fortnight ago.

She stars alongside Meryl Streep and Laura Dern in the big-screen adaptation of Little Women, which is released next month.

Meanwhile, Rosie, 32, who is engaged to British action-man actor Jason Statham, 52, didn’t seem to have any such complications in her life as she strode out of the Crosby Hotel in New York yesterday with no coat at all. This was despite temperatures plunging to just 4C in the Big Apple – even colder than London, which was 7C.
