Harry and Meghan’s new blow

-

Who does Meghan Markle think she is? Our Queen has always been gracious, kind and welcoming to her (as we all have), but I fear both Harry and the Royal Family are merely stepping stones for her. As Harry said at the outset: ‘What Meghan wants, Meghan gets!’

I hope at least she makes him happy, because she has left almost everyone else in her wake saddened and disappointed.

As for their forthcoming biography, for which they have co-operated with the authors, we already know the story – and it’s one of their own making. S. Martin,

East Preston, West Sussex

Harry and Meghan, along with Prince Andrew, are doing no favours for the Royal Family’s reputation. In any other walk of life, they’d be sacked by now. They have all failed miserably to adhere to the job description of not bringing shame on the family.

Andrew was unbelievably reckless in his association with the convicted criminal Jeffrey Epstein. Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan never looked happy in the second-row of The Firm’s get-togethers and have now deserted realistic UK for the paper-thin glamour of Tinseltown. Alan Aitchison, Wakefield

Harry, you are at a crossroads. If you support your wife in the publication of a book against the Queen and the Royal Family, I fear there is no turning back. At the moment, I believe you still have the support of the British public, but the publishing of a vitriolic book will not endear you to those who have supported you.

Please think very carefully about what you are doing and what effect you are having on your grandparents, the rest of your family and the country.

I only hope, for your sake, that

Meghan is worth all that you are turning away from. Janet Hirst, Littleover, Derby

Harry and Meghan announced they will no longer deal with the British tabloids. As ex-members of The Firm, they won’t have to make too much effort to be ignored. Dennis Fitzgerald,

Melbourne, Australia
