Thrones’ f inal failure

THE much heralded and long awaited grand finale of swords and sorcery saga Game Of Thrones has been crowned the worst TV ending in an online poll of fans.

After eight series and 73 episodes of George R. R. Martin’s fantasy drama, more than 1,700 of the 2,000 people questioned said they felt let down by the closing episode.

The show began broadcasting in 2011 and starred Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen and Kit

Harington as Jon Snow. The final scenes attracted a UK audience of 3.2 million diehard viewers when they were shown on Sky at 2am in May last year.

More than one billion viewers in 170 different countries are believed to have watched the final season of the HBO production.

According to the poll by online marketplace OnBuy, other TV show endings that left fans underwhelmed included Lost and Sherlock.
