Chris O’Dowd tells me his scariest lockdown moment was when he feared he would be forced to live thousands of miles from wife Dawn O’Porter. But the Hollywood-based Irishman wasn’t being as romantic as it seems – he was panicking about being without Dawn’s parenting skills.

‘Dawn was in England and I was in Los Angeles,’ revealed Chris, 40, who shares sons Art and Valentine with Dawn, 41. ‘There was a moment where we thought she was going to get stuck there. That was quite scary.’

But rather than simply missing his wife, he admits the real reason for his panic was: ‘Oh my God, do I have to take care of the kids on my own for the next three months?’
