In a two-part documentary, Jordan Smith (right) meets fellow poets who are working in detention centres to help refugees fight for their human rights. Among them are Seth Michelson, who’s been assisting the mothers of imprisoned migrant children in the US.

Vikas Swarup’s novel Q&A (Radio 4, 7pm) inspired the movie Slumdog Millionaire. In this adaptation, two homeless youngsters make a horrific discovery near the Taj Mahal.
