Sherrie will also join you for an excursion to discover two wonderful islands in the Venetian lagoon: Murano and Burano. Murano has been renowned for its glasswork since the 13th Century, and you will watch a master Italian glassmaker at work. You will also explore the pretty fishermen’s village of Burano, famous for its brightly coloured houses and centuries-old tradition of lace-making.
Superb excursions: You’ll also have the chance to enjoy a superb selection of optional on-shore excursions, including a visit to historic Padua, a tour of a manufacturer of handcrafted gondolas and Venetian masks, and a walking tour in Casanova’s footsteps through the secret passageways of the Doge’s Palace.
Sailing in style: Your ship, MS Michelangelo, is the perfect base from which to discover the city and its famous lagoon.
