Paddington’s Peru? That’s the perfect spot for Air Miles Andy

-

The heartfelt tributes from

Prince Charles and Prince

William during the star-studded gala outside Buckingham Palace were spot-on and I sense the monarchy is indeed in a very good place, courtesy of our great Queen and her good sense of moving forwards. This was an enjoyable extravaganza of music, tributes and dance, prefaced by the delightful tetea-tete with Her Majesty and Paddington Bear – brilliant!

Judith Daniels, Great Yarmouth

I wonder if the Queen was talking to Paddington Bear about getting a job for Prince Andrew in Deepest, Darkest Peru where he’s safely out of harm’s way?

Tim Mickleburgh, Grimsby

All of the Royals showed beautiful style during the celebrations. It was so refreshing to see women dressed smartly instead of having their cleavages on show, or high leg splits in dresses.

S. Freeman, Essex

How good it was to see protesters being removed immediately when trying to disrupt the celebrations. What I cannot understand is why protesters blocking roads and causing mayhem are not removed as quickly.

George Moore, Halifax

As only the Brits can do! Pomp and pageantry at its very finest as millions revelled in the celebrations. We smiled and took pride in our country for four lovely days. However, behind it all, we paid homage to our wonderful Queen, somebody who has been the glue that has held our constitutional monarchy and society together.

Ann Field, Manchester

I was thrilled with the Jubilee.

The Duke of Cambridge expressed the urgent need to protect our planet, and he is right. The young and old can help in many ways, from volunteering for clean-ups to planting a tree. Urgent action is essential. Let’s all do our part.

Amber Jacobs, Cheshire

As witnessed at St Paul’s, the Sussex pair are no longer front row and centre. This will not bother them, knowing all the world is a stage willing to pay top dollar. Furthermore, why do they insist, like love-struck teenagers, on holding hands in a constant clingy fashion? A contractual obligation to Netflix, perhaps?

Amanda Yates, Newcastle upon Tyne

It was an absolute pleasure to see Prince Louis, along with his cousins, being so mischievous during both Trooping the Colour and the Jubilee Pageant.

Let’s not forget that all of these delightful young children bowed their heads in respect to our Queen and

National Anthem in the carriage procession.

They all behaved perfectly for their age.

B. Fisher, Hinckley

An enormous well done to the

BBC for its Jubilee coverage. I’m among the vast numbers who question the way our licence fee is used at times, but when one sees the quality of the coverage, it is hard to imagine any other broadcaster doing as good a job.

Bruce Willson, Kent

TV critic Deborah Ross’s report about the Jubilee TV coverage had me in stitches. I love how blunt Ross is. Loose Women’s Linda Robson in a tied-under-chin headscarf reminded me of

Tubbs from The League Of Gentlemen instead of the Queen.

N. Evans, Norwich

My appreciation to the reporters, photographers and backroom staff who diligently provided wonderful records of a very special Royal occasion. Thank you to the Mail on Sunday and Daily Mail staff.
