What libel trial? Rooneys soak up the sun a world away from Wagatha woes
COLEEN ROONEY wades away from her libel woes as she wows beachgoers in a stunning pink bikini.
The wife of former England and Manchester United footballer Wayne was spotted laughing with friends in Ibiza while soaking up the sun following her explosive ‘Wagatha Christie’ trial.
Coleen, 36, sipped a cooling drink in her £224 fuchsia Firenze Paula bikini by Vix at a swanky resort on the Balearic island – a world away from tense scenes she endured in her High Court battle in London last month.
Derby County manager Wayne, also 36, preferred to take in the sizzling view from the beach bar, while he swigged an Aperol spritz on the couple’s second getaway this month. And he opted against baring too much flesh in the intense sunshine, wearing a blue T-shirt, patterned trunks and a baseball hat back to front. The couple only recently returned from a luxury break in Dubai with sons Kai, 12, Klay, nine, Kit, six, and Cass, four.
Coleen posted ten photographs to her 890,000 followers on Instagram, writing: ‘We had the best family holiday 2022.’ One image showed their sons posing in matching shorts, while another saw Klay getting a peck from a dolphin.
Days later they jetted off again – but this time appeared to have left the children behind in their £20million Cheshire mansion. Coleen has been on a jaw-dropping 72 holidays over the past decade since she married Wayne – and has been pictured in 107 different bikinis.
She was sued for libel by Rebekah Vardy, 40, after she accused her fellow Wag of leaking stories about her. She famously revealed in October 2019 how she had planted fake stories on her personal Instagram account and had changed her settings so that the posts could only be seen by Vardy’s account.
Each of the bogus stories then found their way into The Sun, prompting Coleen to allege that Vardy, wife of Leicester City striker Jamie, was the source of the leaks.
The verdict is expected soon.
