TONIGHT’S TV PICK

Would I Lie to You? (BBC1, 9pm)

THE panel show’s latest series comes to an end with a compilation of funny bits that didn’t quite make the cut in previous episodes. On any other show, that would be a reason to exercise caution, but Would I Lie to You? is so consistently entertaining, even the outtakes are well worth a look. It’s also a reminder of how incredibly eclectic the line-ups are – while certain other panel shows seem to have the same handful of comedians on rotation, everyone from Naga Munchetty and Jeremy Vine to Su Pollard and Melvyn Hayes have all appeared on the show.

Martin Compston’s Norwegian Fling (BBC2, 10pm)

THE Line of Duty actor and his mate Phil MacHugh make their way along the west coast, taking in some of Norway’s scenic landscapes along the way. They arrive in Bergen in time for the National Day parade, where they join forces with the Bergen Scottish Society – and change into Norwegian national dress. In fact, there’s so much celebrating going on that Martin is a bit tired and emotional the next day, so will a bracing day at sea with fishermen Morten Glesnes and his son Rasmus clear his head or make him feel worse?

The Last Leg (C4, 10pm)

OVER the past few weeks, Alex Brooker has been making the headlines as well as commenting on them, after fans started speculated that he was hidden beneath one of the costumes on The Masked Singer. Now though, the focus is back on the real news as he joins Adam Hills and Josh Widdicombe for a satirical look at the week’s events. They are joined by guests Jo Brand and her fellow comedian Eshaan Akbar.

Eurovision 2024: Graham Meets Olly (BBC1, 10.40pm)

POP fans who hoped Sam Ryder’s impressive showing at Eurovision in 2022 was a sign of things to come may have been disappointed when last year the UK finished 25th. However, if anyone can prove that Ryder’s performance wasn’t a blip, it’s this year’s Eurovision entrant, Olly Alexander. As the frontman of Years & Years, he’s already had two number one UK albums and 10 UK Top 40 singles. Here, he marks the release of his entry Dizzy by meeting up with Graham Norton.
