BUCKS TAKE IN NEW DUO

Telford move to strengthen board

- By Steven Coney

AFC TELFORD UNITED have added Andy Pryce and Luke Fearnall to their board of directors.

Both men were interviewed by a panel of club and trust board members and have been unanimously chosen to represent the National League North Bucks.

Fearnall, a trustee for five years, has been trust chairman since 2014 and will take up the position of fan liaison director following the recent resignation of Mark Berry.

“I feel the club has done a lot recently to bring the fans back to the fore,” said Fearnall.

“We’ve brought back Rob (Smith, manager) and Larry (Chambers, assistant), which was a key part [of it] and we feel on the pitch we have a very good squad in place.

"Now I want to help bring the relationship with the fans and the board back to how it was at the outset.”

Prosper

Pryce, meanwhile, is managing director of a local building company and brings a wealth of business and football experience to the New Bucks Head, having spent a long spell as goalkeeper at Market Drayton Town.

Among his responsi- bilites, he will help the club in project managing any redevelopments in the future and was part of the negotiations to bring in Sondico as the club's kit supplier.

Pryce said: “I was delighted to be approached by the chairman and trust board to see if I was interested in being a director.

“As a local lad, I want to see this club prosper and I feel I can offer the combination of football and business skills to the board.”

Chairman Ian Dosser added: “I’m delighted that both Andy and Luke will be joining the club board.

"Andy already does a great deal for the club and this includes the recent very efficient management and delivery of the new deal with Sondico, as well as help and advice to our youth set-up and working on potential site development.

“Luke has been an integral part in key decision-making around the club. He was a driving force behind the season ticket price reductions, which have led to an increase in sales for the coming season.

“He will be a key addition to the board and will have the fans’ opinions at the forefront of any decision which the football club makes.”
