PLYMOUTH Argyle Reserves regained second spot in the Premier Division table, leapfroggi­ng Tavistock who were on FA Vase duty.

The Pilgrims ran riot at home to new basement boys Newquay, scoring seven goals without reply.

Bodmin Town moved up to fourth following their 6-2 home win against Falmouth. Billy Hopcroft and Dan Sullivan put them two ahead inside five minutes before further strikes from Hopcroft, Adam Carter, Harry Clarke and an own goal sealed the victory.

Hosts Tiverton Town Reserves beat Callington Town 3-1 while Witheridge gained much needed confidence by beating fellow strugglers St Blazey 5-0.

Rob Knight scored four goals for the rampant hosts after Jake Rowe had given them an early advantage.

Plymouth Parkway triumphed 3-0 at Helston Athletic, while Launceston won 3-1 at Godolphin Atlantic.

EAST MIDLANDS

CLASSY marksman Carl Westcarr cracked home a hat-trick to keep West Bridgford in top spot after they claimed a 3-0 win over Holwell Sports.

Radcliffe Olympic sit two points behind in second spot but were given a real battle at Birstall United before snapping up a 3-2 win.

Dan Jelly gave Birstall a shock early lead but Liam Smallwood levelled in the third minute before Scott Lichfield put Olympic in front. Birstall clawed their way back onto level terms thanks to a Sam Adams own goal but Ryan Perkins plundered a 79th minute winner for Olympic.

Greenwood Meadows continue to struggle after they slipped up 3-1 at home to Blaby and Whetstone.

Stacey Corr cracked home a fourth minute opener for Anstey Nomads – but it proved to no avail as they lost 3-1.

Visitors Dunkirk struck back with a couple of goals from Sam Grouse before Adam Burton belted home a third.

WEST MIDLANDS REGIONAL

WOLVES Sporting Community continue to sweep all before them this season as they reeled off their ninth straight win with a 1-0 success over local rivals Willenhall Town.

Scoring machine Danny Westwood sealed victory with the only goal of the game, taking his tally to 21, and keeps his side six points clear of second placed Haughmond, who bagged a 3-0 win at Bilston Town Community.

Dave Howarth hit home for the Shropshire side with goals either side of half time before Steve Hole sealed success with a third on 73 minutes.

It could have been a different story for Bilston, but Keiron Clarke failed to convert a 32nd minute penalty and they were later reduced to ten men after Charlie Hemmings saw red.

Liam Hughes helped himself to a hattrick as Wolves Casuals powered past Dudley Sports 5-2 while Kevin Nicholls and Dan Stokes were also on target.
