ACE LEW SEALS A CELTS RETURN
LEWIS Nightingale says he is looking forward to enjoying his football again after making a popular return to Farsley Celtic.
Nightingale was rewarded for winning last season’s player of the year award with a high-profile move to Darlington 1883 in the summer.
But after failing to hold down a regular starting place with the Quakers and re-joining the EvoStik NPL Division One North Celts on an initial loan deal, the midfield ace is now back at Throstle Nest on a permanent basis after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.
Nightingale said: “I'm looking forward to settling down again and to just enjoy playing football.
“The move to Darlington hasn't worked out for whatever reason, but that’s football. It is still early in the season and there is a long way to go. I am excited to be back.
“The lads have made a fantastic start to the season and that must continue as we aim for promotion. I will be working hard and looking to add a few goals and assists in order to continue the fine run.”
Equally, joint manager Neil Parley is excited to have Nightingale back at the club.
He added: “We are very happy to have Lewis back. We all know what he can offer the squad and it is a great signing. Good players that you know really want to play for the club are hard to find at this time of the season.”
