CRAIG LYNCH’S first-half hat-trick set Seaham Red Star on their way to a 6-1 mauling of Whitley Bay.

Lee Hetheringt­on added a goal for the Star shortly after half-time, David Paul added another after a Kyle Fryatt consolatio­n and Robbie Bird made it six.

North Shields continued their unbeaten start to the season, beating Ryhope CW 2-1 as two Lee Mason penalties moved the Robins five points clear.

Shildon ran out 5-1 winners at Dunston UTS with goals from Lewis Wing, Jamie Harwood, Billy Greulich-Smith, David Ferguson and Lewis Dodds. Malky Morien scored Dunston’s consolatio­n.

An Adam Preston hat-trick gave West Auckland their first away win as they beat Jarrow Roofing 3-1.

Pace-setters South Shields had to rely on Julio Arca to produce a late equaliser as they came from 2-0 down to draw with Sunderland RCA.

Guisboroug­h Town and Consett hit three goals apiece as the Priorymen came from behind twice to salvage a draw – Matty Pennal with a hat-trick.

A Danny Earl double and a Glen Butterwort­h goal saw Marske defeat Chester-le-Street Town 3-0.

Penrith won 3-1 at Washington with two goals from Martyn Coleman and West Allotment Celtic had to play much of the game with ten men as they lost 1-0 to Ashington, who scored through Ben Sampson.

NORTH WEST COUNTIES

BOOTLE put in a fine performanc­e against second-placed Runcorn Town to take a 3-0 victory.

Having won their last five, Runcorn couldn’t make it a super six as Bootle stretched their winning run to six from seven.

Goalless at the break, Ste Jones broke the deadlock after 63 minutes as he headed home and four minutes after that it was two, thanks to Ryan Cox’s finish.

Carl Peters then made the game safe with 12 minutes left, as he finished at the back post.

Atherton Collieries took advantage of Town’s loss to climb to second in the table with a 1-0 victory against Maine Road.

Liam Wood’s first for the club after 39 minutes was the difference.

The only other game saw Hanley Town beat Abbey Hey 2-0 thanks to goals in either half from Angelo Errico and Dan Cope.

On Friday night, AFC Liverpool notched a fourth win in a row as they eased past bottom-of-the-table Cammell Laird 1907 4-1.

John Dillon and Franny Smith had the hosts 2-0 up after 27 minutes before Zak Hardacre pulled one back two minutes later to make it 2-1 at the break.

But a second-half brace from Liverpool’s George Donnelly made it seven unbeaten for the Little Reds.

NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST

LEADERS Liversedge remain at the summit thanks to a hardfought victory over winless Parkgate.

Steve Wales hit a 53rd-minute freekick to make it ten league games without defeat for Liversedge – and seven wins in a row.

Cleethorpe­s Town, in second, edged out Bottesford Town 3-2 to keep their unbeaten season intact, while Albion Sports were beaten for just the second time on their travels as they went down 1-0 at Clipstone, who extended their unbeaten run to six.

Kai Hancock sealed a dramatic win for Athersley Recreation as they won a seven-goal thriller at Worksop Town. Hancock pounced in the 89th minute to end their three-game run without a win and take a 4-3 victory.

In just their second home game, Bridlingto­n Town put on a show to beat Armthorpe Welfare 7-1. Brett Agnew led the way with a hat-trick for the hosts.

Casey Stewart, Jake Rose and Lee Turner’s penalty helped Garforth Town to just a second away win – and also ended a run of five losses in six with the 3-0 success at Barton Town Old Boys.

Thackley extended their unbeaten run to six by beating Harrogate Railway Athletic 2-1, Pickering Town hammered Maltby Main 6-0, Retford United won 2-0 at Hemsworth Miners Welfare and Jamie Coulson’s strike was the difference in Stanley’s 1-0 win at Rainworth Miners Welfare.

UNITED COUNTIES LEAGUE

SILEBY boast the league’s only unbeaten record after a 6-0 home win over Huntingdon.

Two Michael Byrne goals and one each from Stuart MacMichael, Dalton Bettles, Merdy Maki and Troy Johnston made up the home tally.

A last-minute Nick Jackson own goal ended Holbeach’s unbeaten start as they lost 2-1 to Desborough. Jack Smith had given the Tigers a first-half lead with Jake Bettles levelling just past the hour.

Peterborou­gh Sports won 5-2 at home to Leicester Nirvana, with the Jones brothers Richard and Mark scoring two apiece. Dan Clements was also on target for the leaders, while Yagan Gore and Jordon Nelson netted for Nirvana.

Eynesbury were the day’s biggest winners – 8-0 at Harrowby. Allen Owen scored three, Craig Smith two and Jordan Brown, Tom Coles and Danny Webb one apiece.

Boston Town moved out of the bottom two with a 2-0 home win over Oadby, thanks to second-half goals from Jordan Smith and Alex Beck.

Cogenhoe also moved clear of the lower reaches, with a 2-0 success at Rothwell Corinthian­s. Liam Tuck and Luke Emery gave the Cooks their first win on the road.

MIDLAND LEAGUE

ALVECHURCH closed the gap on runaway leaders Westfields thanks to a 5-0 demolition job on Quorn.

First-half goals from Josh March and Dave Bellis put the visitors firmly in the driving seat and they made sure of the points after the break thanks to further efforts from Mark Smith, Ryan Winwood and Mike Wardle.

Sporting Khalsa are level on points with Church – but six adrift of the leaders – following their 2-0 win at home to in-form St Andrews. Dave Meese netted them both from the spot.

A last-gasp penalty from Dean Rathbone secured a share of the spoils for Coleshill Town in their 2-2 draw at Long Eaton United and it was the same scoreline at Shepshed Dynamo where Lye Town were the visitors.

Tividale are still looking for their first win after they were crushed 5-1 by visitors Stourport Swifts – Reece Shilvock with a brace of penalties to add to a Joe Phillips double and Dan Sweeney’s strike.

Josh O’Grady scored two in Coventry United’s 4-1 defeat of Brocton and Nathan Hodge bagged one in each half as Shawbury United beat Coventry Sphinx 4-3.

Rocester edged out Walsall Wood 3-2, helped by a Karl Ashton double, and Highgate United beat AFC Wulfrunian­s 2-0. Heanor Town drew with Boldmere St Michaels, as did Lye Town at Shepshed Dynamo.

ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE

A TOP-OF-THE-TABLE CLASH at Station Road saw leaders Takeley go down to a 1-0 against Barking, with James Peagram netting the decisive goal.

And third played fourth as Waltham Forest travelled to Hullbridge Sports – a tie which ended, dramatical­ly, 2-2.

Jeff Hammond scored for Forest ten minutes before half time but Ashley Tibworth equalised five minutes later. Brian Moses restored the Forest lead early in the second half but three minutes into stoppage time Joe Turpin rescued a point for Sports.

Barkingsid­e were held to a 1-1 draw at home by West Essex, which allowed Clacton to go above them into fifth with a 1-0 win at Eton Manor.

There were plenty of goals in the other games, with Redbridge overcoming Tower Hamlets 5-2 and Sawbridgew­orth Town winning by the odd goal in seven at London Bari.

Basildon United enjoyed a comfortabl­e 3-0 victory at Wadham Lodge, while Stansted also scored three on the road, at Sporting Bengal United, although Zubair Ahmed did give Bengal a 12th-minute lead at Mile End Stadium.

Southend Manor scored three goals in the last 15 minutes to beat Ilford 3-0, with Eamon Payne netting a double in the 89th and 92nd minutes.

And Haringey & Waltham won 2-1 at their new Terrence McMillan Stadium against Burnham Ramblers.

EASTERN COUNTIES

MILDENHALL TOWN are the new league leaders after a 3-1 away win against Long Melford.

Chris Bacon, Matt Green and Lee Clift were the goalscorer­s for the visitors. Mildenhall have now won eight of their first nine games of the season.

Pre-match leaders Thetford Town suffered a shock 2-1 home defeat to Haverhill Rovers, with Sam Holmes and Danny Hill both on target for the away side.

Billy Hunt, Jamie Shaw, Craig Hughes and Tyler Kemp were all on the scoresheet for Stanway Rovers as they climbed to second in the table with a comfortabl­e 4-1 away win against Saffron Walden Town.

Keegan Middleton, Joel Watts and Jake Garrod were unbeaten Gorleston’s scorers as they moved to fourth with a 3-1 home victory against struggling Godmanches­ter Rovers.

Bottom side FC Clacton lost their 11th straight game as they were beaten 1-0 at Ely City. Alex Theobald’s late headed goal proved to be decisive for Ely, who are now four points clear of the drop zone.

Jack Clampin’s late strike was enough to hand fifth-placed Wivenhoe Town a 1-0 home win against Swaffham Town and, in the day’s other game, Andrew Wood and Tanner Call both netted twice as Walsham-le-Willows recorded a 4-2 home victory against Hadleigh United. RORY HAYWARD

SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS

LONDON COLNEY maintain their position at the top of the Premier Division table after a comprehens­ive 6-0 win at home to Edgware Town.

The game of the day was at Herns Lane where second-placed Welwyn Garden City entertaine­d fifth-placed Cockfoster­s. Ioannis Varouxakis gave the visitors a 30th-minute lead before Lee Armitt levelled for the Citizens early in the second half.

City then took the lead through Yasin Boodhoo in the 73rd minute. However, Varouxakis missed a late penalty before Jerry Maja scored in injury time to ensure the game ended all square.

Berkhamste­d won 1-0 at Crawley Green with Tom Carter scoring the only goal in the 57th minute, and Mark Summers scored a hat-trick as Hertford

Town came from behind to win 5-1 at Colney Heath.

Luke Wells scored twice for Oxhey Jets in their 3-2 win at home to London Tigers and Leighton Town move out of the bottom six after their second league win of the season, 3-1 at St Margaretsb­ury.

Chris Vardy’s injury-time goal earned Tring Athletic a 3-2 win at home to Stotfold, Biggleswad­e United came from behind to win 3-2 at home to Leverstock Green, thanks to Josh Sturniolo’s 81st-minute goal, Sun Sports drew 1-1 with Hoddesdon Town, and Holmer Green beat Broxbourne Borough 2-0.

COMBINED COUNTIES

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS Hartley Wintney and Westfield continue to set the pace.

The Row, still leaders by one point, triumphed 4-0 at Raynes Park Vale thanks to prolific Sam Argent’s first-half hat-trick, and an own goal, although Liam Eagle enthusiast­ically claimed it.

Westfield, who have two games in hand on the leaders, pipped high-flying visitors Hanworth Villa 2-1 to maintain their title pursuit.

Walton & Hersham stay third despite being held 1-1 by Epsom & Ewell at Stompond Lane. Alex McKay put the visitors ahead after 37 minutes but captain Howard Newton levelled for Swans on 52 minutes.

Windsor climbed three to fourth with a 2-1 home win over Horley Town, whose 77th-minute goal from Ben Herdman was merely a consolatio­n following Kieran Knight’s 67th-minute penalty and Barry Dunbar’s 75th-minute strike.

Hosts Knaphill slipped to fifth following a 3-1 loss to Guildford City.

Camberley Town took sixth thanks to a 4-2 home win over Spelthorne Sports, while midtable CB Hounslow drew 3-3 at Colliers Wood United.

Hosts Abbey Rangers beat Sutton Common Rovers 1-0 through Taylor Crossdale’s effort, Farnham Town won 2-0 at struggling North Greenford United, AFC Hayes lost 3-2 at Chertsey Town and Badshot Lea won 1-0 at basement boys Bedfont & Feltham.

SOUTHERN COMBINATIO­N

SHOREHAM retained their threepoint lead at the top after a 3-0 home win against Newhaven, with Jack Hartley, George Gaskin and Rob O’Toole all on target for the league leaders.

Callum Saunders struck the game’s only goal as second-placed Haywards Heath Town secured a 1-0 home victory against struggling Littlehamp­ton Town.

Scott Murfin, Kieron Pamment and Dale Hayes were the scorers for thirdplace­d Pagham as they ran out impressive 3-0 winners away to Crawley Down Gatwick.

Peacehaven & Telscombe finally picked up their first point of the season as they drew 1-1 at home to Lancing.

Ollie Moore netted twice as Broadbridg­e Heath were comfortabl­e 4-0 winners at home to Hailsham Town and AFC Uckfield Town suffered a heavy 6-1 home defeat at the hands of Loxwood.

Ben Bacon was the hat-trick hero for Hassocks as they won 5-0 away to Worthing United and Chris CummingBar­t grabbed a brace as Eastbourne Town recorded a 4-0 away success against Wick.

In the day's other two games, Josh Clack and Josh Case were Chichester City’s scorers as they climbed to sixth in the table with a 2-1 home win against Horsham YMCA and fourth-placed Eastbourne United AFC beat Arundel 4-0 at home.

SOUTHERN COUNTIES EAST

ERITH TOWN moved off the foot of the table and out of the drop zone with a 1-0 win at high-flying Cray Valley on Friday night.

The Dockers left it late with James Hawkins scoring a stunning individual goal in the 89th minute to seal the win.

Fisher slipped into the bottom two after losing a seven-goal thriller 4-3 at home to Hollands & Blair.

Both sides led twice in the match with James McDonald grabbing the winner ten minutes from time to complete a hat-trick.

Crowboroug­h Athletic’s long trip to Deal Town was made worthwhile as they won 6-1. Goals from Jonathan Trotter, Zac Attwood, Ross Treleaven and Sam Carrington put the Crows four up at the break. Dean Hill pulled one back from the spot before Ollie Muggeridge and Treleaven completed the rout.

At the top, AFC Croydon Athletic twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at home to Ashford United, while Sheppey United moved second after winning 3-2 at Croydon.

Tom Carr scored two penalties in the opening 13 minutes as Rochester United pulled off a surprise 4-1 win at Sevenoaks Town. Byron Walker did pull one back for Oaks but Ricky Holmes and Alex Kendall saw the points go back to the Cathedral City.

Elsewhere, Tunbridge Wells beat Bearsted 2-1, while Canterbury City and Corinthian drew 1-1.

WESTERN LEAGUE

WILLAND ROVERS kept their excellent run of form going with a 4-0 win at home to Longwell Green Sports.

Luke Alden scored the only goal of the first-half, slotting home in the tenth minute. The lead was doubled two minutes after the break through Jake Harkness, before Jason Kennard and Will Nicholls added goals just after the hour mark to put the result beyond doubt.

Bradford Town are the new league leaders, after they defeated Hallen 2-1. The game was level going into the final 20 minutes, before substitute Karim Rendall struck to secure all three points.

A Tyson Pollard hat-trick saw previous leaders Melksham Town lose 3-1 at Shepton Mallet.

Bristol Manor Farm and Street drew 0-0, while Odd Down won 8-3 at Wells City, with hat-tricks from the Simpson brothers, Kye and Troy.

Clevedon Town secured just their third league win in some fashion, beating Sherborne Town 9-0.

In a memorable day for the Seasiders, Isaac Reid and Jake Harris both struck hat-tricks, and a Jordan Fletcher own goal and two late strikes from Daine O’Connor condemned Sherborne to their 11th defeat.

Gillingham Town secured a 2-1 win at Chipping Sodbury Town thanks to Harry Baker and Haydn Hodges’ goals.

And Lloyd Gardner bagged a brace as Buckland Athletic beat Cribbs 6-0.

WESSEX LEAGUE

BASHLEY and Fareham Town played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Cams Alders, where both sides had several chances but the defences came out on top.

Blackfield & Langley and Sholing were also involved in a goalless draw – a tight, top-of-the-table derby match at Gang Warily, which sees the Watersider­s stay top on goal difference.

A brace from Scott Joyce fired Bemerton Heath Harlequins into a 2-0 lead away at second-placed Moneyfield­s.

But the hosts came back into the game and scored twice to level the scores.

The game appeared to be heading for a draw before Bemerton grabbed a late winner to return to Salisbury with all three points.

Andover Town and Brockenhur­st drew 2-2 at the Portway Stadium.

Shane Lock gave the hosts a halftime lead and Lerone ‘Rudi’ Plummer also scored for the hosts in the second-half, whilst prolific striker Mark Barker scored twice for Pat McManus’ side to earn them a share of the spoils.

Graham Rix’s AFC Portcheste­r triumphed 2-1 at home to Amesbury Town.

Jake Peppel and Dale Mason both scored a goal apiece for the home side to seal the win at the Wicor Recreation Ground.

STEP 6 ROUND-UPS SOUTH WEST PENINSULA

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE RESERVES stormed to the top of the table with a resounding 5-0 home win over Godolphin Atlantic.

Louis Rooney and Alex Battle both bagged braces, with Luke Jephcott also netting, to replace Saltash at the top.

Hosts Saltash and third-placed Tavistock battled out a 1-1 draw. Glyn Hobbs put the Lambs ahead after 39 minutes but Ryan Richards levelled.

Tiverton Town Reserves tore lowly visitors St Blazey to shreds, winning 9-1. Ethan Phillips bagged a fine six, and captain Alex Gray, Stuart Davies and Luke Mortimore all added goals. St Blazey’s misery was compounded as Matt Thackery was sent off late on.

Falmouth Town lost 3-1 at Cullompton Rangers, while Launceston won 3-0 at lowly Witheridge.

Exmouth Town won 4-0 at Ivybridge Town, hosts Helston Athletic thrashed bottom side Newquay 6-0 and Torpoint Athletic won 2-1 at Camelford.

And a season’s best crowd of 453 saw Plymouth Parkway lose their unbeaten record 3-2 at home to Bodmin Town.

EAST MIDLANDS

AYLESTONE PARK extended their lead at the top to three points and made it three wins on the spin by beating Dunkirk 4-2.

They were able to extend the lead as previously second-placed Barrow Town lost for the first time at home, going down 3-0 against Ashby Ivanhoe, who won for the fifth game running.

Stapenhill took Barrow’s place with a 7-3 win against Borrowash Victoria, as Steven Hart hit a fantastic five.

Aaron Preston’s brace ended Blaby & Whetstone’s three-game losing run as they beat Anstey Nomads 2-1 and Dan Jelley got the only goal as Birstall United edged out Holwell Sports.

Luke Crosby’s hat-trick and one from Lee Fell helped South Normanton Athletic beat Ellistown & Ibstock 4-0.

Radcliffe Olympic’s tie with Kimberley Miners Welfare was abandoned after 35 minutes due to wet conditions.

WEST MIDLANDS REGIONAL

WOLVES SPORTING COMMUNITY surrendere­d their perfect record, slipping up at the eleventh time of asking, as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Ellesmere Rangers.

It appeared business as usual as Danny Westwood put them ahead by the break, with his 25th goal this term.

But then Rangers took a shock 2-1 lead, as Josh Brown belted home a brace. Wolves Sporting salvaged a point in stoppage time as Jonathan Letford scrambled home.

None of the top four could manage a win – Haughmond missing the chance to move within a point of the leaders as they drew 1-1 at rivals Shifnal Town, while third-placed Malvern Town were beaten 1-0 by Pegasus Juniors.

Rock-bottom Gornal Athletic are still seeking their first point after they were walloped 8-1 by Wolves Casuals.

Elsewhere, Jason Pike plundered a pair of goals as AFC Bridgnorth beat Dudley Town 3-0, Bewdley Town won 4-1 at Bilston and Willenhall Town were 4-1 winners at Wellington Amateurs.
