COALVILLE T 3 HALESOWEN T 1

- By Steve Cartwright

COALVILLE made it five wins from six games as they beat Halesowen.

The visitors started brightly and took the lead after 20 minutes following a defensive mix up.

Lee Torr hit his back pass short and it was intercepted by Tristan Dunkley who gave the ball to Kaiman Anderson who scored into an empty net.

Coalville responded well to going behind and drew level six minutes later. Ryan Robbins played the ball through to Nat Watson who in turn fed it to Massiah McDonald who slipped the ball past John Batemen in The Yeltz goal.

Bateman then produced a superb save to deny McDonald following a swift counter attack from The Ravens. The ball was played to Torr on the left who crossed for McDonald but his flick with the outside of his boot was turned away low down.

The second half saw long periods of pressure from Halesowen but they didn't force the keeper into a save of note.

With just unde a quarter of an hour to play Coalville hit on the break. Robbins powered into the box and hit a fierce left foot shot which Bateman got in the way off but the ball ricocheted over the line.

Three minutes later and Coalville wrapped up the win with the goal of the game. Sub Alex Dean curled the ball in from 25 yards that gave Bateman no chance. STAR MAN: Massiah McDonald (C’ville) ENTERTAINMENT: ★★★★★
