KING’S LYNN T 3 DORCHESTER T 3

- By Greg Plummer

KING’S LYNN TOWN and Dorchester Town shared the spoils following a six-goal thriller in the dense fog at the Walks.

There looked no way back for the Magpies, who had led through Tom Blair’s early goal, after a brace from Ryan Fryatt and a Michael Clunan goal had put the hosts 3-1 up.

But in a game constantly disrupted by the weather, as the match officials consulted with both benches, Jake Smeeton and David Jerrard earned Dorchester a point.

The Linnets, who hadn’t lost in the league since the end of October, were rocked early on when Blair drilled home as early as the second minute.

Lynn created a number of chances to equalise, but had to wait until the 41st minute when Fryatt emphatically headed home a Clunan free-kick.

The hosts dominated long periods of the second half and took the lead in the 59th minute when Clunan prodded home a Kurtis Revan pull-back.

Fryatt then headed home his second goal of the game as the Magpies bench called for the game to be abandoned.

Dorchester reduced the arrears when Smeeton appeared out of the fog to fire home and were given a helping hand with their leveller when home keeper Alex Street failed to deal with Jerrard’s effort.
